Greetings!
We have about 150 t510s in our health clinic. We have rolled out a new 2012 R2 server farm and would very much like to move our users to it, but we have hit a snag.
We have upgraded a test t510 to ThinPro 5.0. We set up a connection to the RD broker and it works great when we log in with a username and password. However, when we go to log in with a smart card, we get an error:
"Please use external device to unlock the smart card."
About a second later, the logon screen is replaced with another screen with the following error messages:
"The PIN could not be verified. Your credentials could not be verified."
Now, we can use smart cards to log in to the 2012 R2 farm on any other machine, just not the t510 thin clients. HP support seems to think it is a group policy setting, but can't seem to tell me what setting would prevent only ThinPro clients from passing credentials from the smart card to the server. I have already added the certificates to the Local CA on the thin client, updated freeRDP, even tried adding arguments to the freeRDP connection in the registry editor.
Has anyone else successfully used smart cards to log in to a 2012 R2 server using ThinPro?
