I'm attempting to join my t510's to the domain and when I do, the autologon (Kiosk Mode) no longer functions. I have tried to input the "User" password but it just tells me "Invalid User Name, Domain, Password combination". Any idea why this won't work when the TC is joined to my domain?

HPDM 4.5.3610.17677 - ErrorCode: 14031012, Error Detail: Failed to Login.
Yesterday this was working on the exact same thin client (t5570e), now all I get is this error when I try to deploy an image to the device.
I have tried several images from the HPDM and all yield the same results.
I did put the factory image back on via a USB stick and then tried again, updating the agent and subsequently trying to image it, which failed again with the same error.
I also tried to figure out if it was happening to all tasks in the HPDM, but I was able to copy files, kickoff remote installs, but still unable to send an image.
Read through other thread and tried the suggestions in them. But my repository works well, and I tested the connection.
This makes no sense that the same device would all of a sudden just stop receiving information from the repository, does anyone have any expereince with this? Have any of you encountered this before?

HP Velocity & Citrix Provisioning Target Device (6.1) software conflict
Not a question, just sharing info.
The presence of the HP Velocity software will cause the Citrix Provisioning Target Device software from properly being able to send an image to the Provisioning Server (version used: 6.1). You will receive the error "Error: vDisk is not available. Please check your network PXE boot Configuration and restart imaging wizard." Other blog posts point towards having nonpresent NICs in the Device Manager as causing this issue--and I don't doubt that it does. There's just an additional cause: HP Velocity. The resolution was to uninstall HP Velocity, uninstall the Target Device software, then reinstall the Target Device software and dump the vDisk as normal.
Additionally, HP Velocity seems to be not compatible with VMXNET 2 virtual NICs in VMWare; the LiveQoS NDIS 6 Filter Driver network service does not attach properly. VMXNET 3 works. (My headaches appeared when attempting to upgrade virtual NICs while attempting to deploy HP Velocity to provisioned XenApp servers.)
Just putting this out there for the search engines to pick up. Putting it under the HP Thin Client section for reasons obvious to HP Velocity users. =)

USB Fingerprint Reader Not Working
I am trying to get a Digitial Persona U are U 4500 Fingerprint Reader to work on a HP t410 thin client and it is not working Properly. I have the Z6A43201 image installed currently and am using a 32-bit Windows 7 image.
Windows sees the fingerprint reader in the Device Manager and it is lit up like it should be but when you try and use the reader the fingerprint read is never seen on the windows PC.
Does anyone have anythink I could try for this? The same rader works with the same Windows image on a NComputing N500 thin client. Both are connecting with the Citrix ICA client to VDI-in-a-Box running an 2012 R2 Hyper-V servers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

HPDM 4.6 templates
Hi,
Hoping someone can help me with this.
I am trying to create a template to use when we deploy new thin clients. I have setup individual tasks, however, when I try to create the template with multiple tasks I am receiving an error. The error is "Failed to merge payload to template".
An example the template I am trying to creaete is;
_File and Registry - Deploy file - to push a certificate to the device
- Script -to change the permissions on it
_Push Connection Configuration - to push our Citrix configuration
Does anyone know why I would receive this and more importantly how do I get it to work?

T5740W doesn't remember wireless credentials
We've got several T5740W ThinClients in our organisation. For some reason, they don't remember the wireless credentails for our 802.1x WPA-Enterprise wireless network. We're using 1 account for this of which the password never expires. The flash-write protection enabled or disabled doesn't make any difference.
Anybody has a clue how to fix this?

migrate t610 plus windows embedded 2009 to windows embedded 7 how ? licence?
my company bought some t610 plus thin clients from hp but with WE2009 they want me to upgrade the OS to W7 embedded.
From what they say to me we use those thin clients to connect to vmware session with w7 so we don't need to pay 2 licences. is it true ? where can i get more information about that and the licences for the TC
and then how can i install the w7E on thin client using the new licence ?

Smart Zero Client Services deployment
Hi,
I would like to deployed a path (with *.deb files). I use the smart zero client serices. A *.deb files are in a Package folder and I have modifyed a index.txt file. That's working. Now, I would like to deployed a path for one model (t5335z), but I don't know how change the index.txt for that's working just for the model.
Any body know why the older version(Z5D40017) of t5335z is more efficient in a rdp connection than the new version (Z5D44017)?

T610 with Windows 7 Embedded - the system does not have license for the image os
Hello Community,
I bought a refurbished T610 ThinClient which is running an english Windows 7 Embedded. The label on the box says, that the ThinClient is licensed with W7E. When I now run the hp Easy Tools installed on the ThinClient to create a USB Image with German language, everythin works fine: the image is downloaded from the web and put on the stick.
But after booting the stick the setup tells me: "the system does not have license for the image os". What am I doing wrong? The BIOS is already the latest one.
Or is there another way turning the operating system into german? There should be an option to download additional languages, but that particual window has no further options. And I found no manual way to download other languages.

PXE boot ThinPro, i.e. skip booting slow flash drive???
Hi All,
I have a few HPDM 4.6 deployments to do and notice how slow the flash is to image. I tested it and it is like 17meg per second, so our GIG connection is 7x faster.
So I want to skip the internal flash and just boot from a PXE image. Is that possible?

WIFI dongle for ThinPro t6x44017
Hi All,
There are times I need to shove a USB WIFI card in a ThinPro thin client. Not all the time but there are times. I used to be able to buy a HP/Belkin dongle that was 802.11g. I don't see that anymore.
I do not need dedicated thin clients using WIFI, as they are a PITA to keep track of and I might need more or less of them in the lab or training. I also don't care if they can't talk to an AP that is 1,000 feet away. In a conference room or training lab they are 20' from the AP.

ThinPro OS for KIOS settings
Hi All,
With the Windows thin clients from HP there is a thing called the Enhanced Write filter. So when a thin client is used to surf the internet and it is rebooted all previous history is gone.
Do we have that for ThinPro?

ThinPro use 1/2 of flash for staging next OS update?
Hi All,
Is there a way to use 1/2 the flash to store the next OS update when we upgrade, as opposed to doing a PXE image of the device? That would be better as it might be faster for our users on slow T1 connections.

Hi All,
To get the web browser to run faster is there a way to have it copy, run from and keep temporary files on a ram disk? It seems like this should be faster for the end user and they should be happy with a thin client.

HPDM 4.6 - Where is the documentation?
HPDM version 4.6 was released two weeks ago, but there is no documentation posted yet other than the release notes. When will the install and user guides be provided?
There is nothing for version 4.6 under either ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/hpdm/Documentation/WhitePapers/ and the directory at ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/hpdm/Documentation/UserGuide/4.6/ is empty.

HPDM download image templates
Hello every one! I have a question about HPDM templates.
I'm trying download image (OS for thin client) via HP FTP Software component browser. But when i set template T6X44017 (ThinPro 1024MB x86 Image) and click generate a see status "transfer" and then "failed" in Task Templates. How I can fix it? I can't download this template.
I check access to hp ftp, I can open ftp://hp.com in server file manager.
And server have full access to ftp resourses.
Can some one help me?

T510 adding driver for Digta Foot Control 540 USB
Hello @ll,
I'm looking for a possibility to implement a driver for the 'Digta Foot Control 540 USB' in a HP T510 Smart Zero Client.
In my Win7 system I need to implement the gruMMC_TS.dll in the RDP session in order my dictate software to be functional.
With the HP Profile Editor I am able to deliver files to the zero client but I don't know which path the linux system needs.
Can someone help me out of this mess or give me a link with further information about implementing drivers in terminal session with linux systems used by a T510?
