I have a TS farm with about 120 ThinPro clients for connections.
I'm currently working with some new network inventory software, and for the Thin Clients to be detected properly, I have to open the SSH port on the devices.
I can do this manually from ThinPro OS - Control Panel > Management > OpenSSHD Manager > Tick Enable Incoming Secure Shell Access
I just don't want to have to visit 120 desks to activate this manually, so I was hoping there was a way to push this from HPDM.
Any tips?
I have slim computer t5565. Use RDP. I enable USB-redirect support for RDP.
Q! How safe unplug USB Drives from?
I detect problem with writing to. Some files not write.
For example write 4 files from RDP. Copy complete. Close window, open - files exist.
Unplug USB, plug to other computer - open flash... OMG!! Files not yet.

I've got a puzzling one here, we've got a thin client which is used only for RDPing however every now and again the resolution will drop to 800 x 600. If we close the RDP session and check the local install it's dropped to 800 x 600 on the thin client, we can change it back up to 1024 x 768 and then reconnect and all is fine but it randomly every 3 or 4 days the office uses 8 of these machines and it's only two that do it periodically.
Anybody come across this one before?

I'm using trying to use " _CaptureImage" to get the image from a T610 thin client.
The command is sent to the thin client and on the thin client it appears to be capturing the image.
When complete, the thin client reboots and the existing image is replaced with an new image...
What am I doing wrong???

I am using a Riverbed Steelhead between our remote sites and datacenter. I need to disable RDP compression on our RDP sessions so the Steelhead can compress it. If I create an icon on the desktop through the Remote Desktop Connections app and modify the .rdp file to change the compression:i:1 to compression:i:0 it works great, compression is disabled and the Steelhead compresses the TCP stream.
Once I go to the HP Connection manager, I dont see how to disable compression for the profiles setup on there.
I logged in to the thin client in admin mode and found some files which I thought might have made a difference but they did nothing. I found a hpconnector.conf and hpconnector.ini file. I found compression=1 values in there and changed the value to 0, but it made no difference.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to accomplish this on the thin clients through HP Connection Manager?

I am running Xenapp 6.5 on Server 2008 R2. We use HP T410 clients running OS build Z6A43201.
When a user's active directory password expires and they login on the thin client they are prompted to reset their password. After entering the old password and the new password plus confirming the password they recieve the error "Unable to update the password. Ensure that the value provided meets the domain's length, complexity and history requirements"
If I go to a regular PC and start a Xenapp web interface session I am prompted in the same manor to change my password. If I use the same new password it will update without problem. If I use an iPad to run Reciever and start a session I can also change the password. This only happens on the thin clients
Citrix says it is a think client problem because a fat client (PC) and the Reciever are both successful at changin the password. HP Support says "no way". It has to be an ICA session problem.
Any help in troubleshooting or correcting the issue would be appreciated.

Is there a way to set the VDI connection to automatically remember the username of the last login?
HP t610. I captured an image to a USB stick using HP Easy Tools. After deploying the image to three thin stations across a network, one completed successfully, the other two have the following screen:
Windows failed to start.
File BCD\Boot
Status: 0xc000014c
An error occured while attempting to read the boot configuration data.
I figured the image wasn't successful, so I tried it again from the USB stick with the same results. Suspecting, the image on the USB stick might be the problem, I re-captured from the source.
After the source rebooted. I get the same message on the source computer.
Booting into Windows PE and using bcdboot c:\windows does not fix the problem. Using a WIndows Recovery isn't a solution because I would have to do this on each system we image.
It's there a restore image available from HP? Has anyone else had this odd problem?

I'm trying to set up the double screen on a HP thin client connected to a HP WS 460 C.
The operating system on he HP 460 C is Windows 7 x64 and the video card is a NVIDIA FX 2800M. When I try to install the vidéo driver, it says "No hardware found" (see attachment) but I'm sure it's a FX 2800M. This message appeared for 17 versions of the driver.
Only one driver worked but Windows does not recognize the second screen.
When this HP 460 C was with Windows XP (32 r 64 bytes), the double screen worked fine.
What do you think about that?

My company has multiple ThinClient T5740E's deployed. Lately we have had issues on several of them where we will restart them and when they come back up and the user logs in, they are greeted with a black screen for anywhere from 5-20 minutes. You can move the mouse but no other commands will pull up when done from the machine. We have a remote access program that we use and we can send a command from that program to get to Task Manager and then Run, from there we input explorer.exe and that will pull the desktop up.
The only thing we have installed on them is a VMware view client and a Bomgar jump client (aside from drivers and what the image puts on)
Any ideas on what may be causing this?

We have HP Zero Clients (T410) and are connection to an Windows 2012 server.
When i look in the admin guide it saysthat USB redirection to windows 2012 and Windows 8 is supported.
I have enable USB redirection in the zero client.
But when i connect an USB device to the zeroclient is isnt viable in my RDP7 connection to the server.
Do i have to edit some policys on the server or do i need software ?

Supported file systems: FAT32 and NTFS,!!! ExtFat not supported
Working with files and folders:
∙ When copying large quantities of data, the GUI starts shall assume;
∙ You can not create folders in the root of the stick (workaround: Create folders such as the desktop, and then copy to the root of the stick);
∙ Do not look at how much space is available on a flash drive;
∙ copying to a USB flash drive does not check the available disk space, respectively, the error will be issued upon - and even after the appearance of a dialogue with a choice to continue the operation and cleaning of the space, the copying process starts from the beginning;
∙ There is no safe removal, lost files after removing the stick of a thin client;
∙ when working with flash instead of a single directory Consultant on it there were two separate directories Consultant and consultant. When connected to a Windows can work with only one folder that contains only part of data.
How to get rid of the above?
P.S. Use RDP on Windows 2008 R2 Server
Have two test T410s connected to multipoint server 2012 over a gigabit switch. Opening up new windows takes noticbly longer than it should and trying to play videos youtube/vimeo which are a requirment to the college we are deploying to are extremly jittery on video and audio.
We have installed velocity and this hasn't made any improvment. Is there anything else I can try?
Can the T610 run IE and Java?

HPDM 3.5 + SP3
Deployment of 2.5GB image on T610 (16GB flash) takes 1h26 minutes over 1Gb .
Something is wrong.
First I didn't check Cashe image option. Then did check it. The same result.
Full W7 deployment with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit takes 15 minutes.
What could cause such a long deployment time?

I'm running the HP image, with latest BIOS and latest USB 3.0 drivers.
Anyone else come across this issue??
